For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 

Then speak to the storm to be still. Many times the storm is our thoughts and emotions and they need to be told to be still and be at peace in the presence of the Son.

When we fear exposure, we fear the approval and judgment of others or even God. We fear that our weakness that we are hiding will expose our worth and diminish our value. The fear of man is the fear of what others will think of us, say about us, or how they view us. Fear many times exposes our own perspective of how we view ourselves.

We may also fear punishment from God if we expose our failures, shortcomings, or sins. Just like Adam and Eve, they covered themselves because of shame and they did not want to be exposed for fear of punishment and rejection. They lost sight of the loving care of the Father and his character. They assumed He would punish them if they exposed themselves.

In the Bible it says “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love, 1 John 4:18”.

So today, do not condemn yourselves if you fear. Just realize your heart needs to experience perfect love. The Father loves you, approves of you, accepts you, cares for you, as you are His greatest creation. Ask the Father how he wants you to know and experience His perfect love for you right now in an area of your life. Let Him love and remove your fears.

Another Village Changed

In 2012, Flood the Nations partnered with a youth group from Life Church in Fort Collins to provide clean water for another village. This time it was a smaller village with 31 families needing safe  water. This team of sixteen planned, prepared, and raised funds for several months to be able to meet the people of Honduras. Just like the previous year, the team had to climb into the back of pickup trucks to get to their destination. They rolled over muddy, bumpy roads to find San Augustine, a small village with many smiling faces. The local people work hard to make a living every day, but they are full of joy despite the obstacles they must overcome.

Filters to Friends

Every Mission Water Project starts with the goal of raising awareness and funds to bring bio sand water filters to a village in Honduras. Most of the team members have never stepped into a village and do not know who they will meet. However, once they arrive the goal of bringing filters quickly turns to making new friends. They enjoy installing the filters side by side with the families they serve and will have wonderful memories of playing soccer together, cooking meals, and praying with them.

Thankful

FTN strives to collaborate with each village to bring clean water. We want them all to know that the filters are a gift from God because He cares for them all.

2013-2014 – Farther

In 2013-14 we are going farther.  We will be expanding into the Copan area for the first time. 2013 will be a time of networking, meeting and preparing more villages for filters and will include a few installations. 2014 will be the largest water filter installation we have done with the goal of 200 filters installed!
