Plunge: to cast or thrust forcibly or suddenly into something, as a liquid, a penetrable substance; immerse; to throw oneself impetuously or abruptly into some condition, situation.
A follower of Jesus Christ is one who has been with, seen, experienced and been transformed by being immersed in the presence of the Son. Their life is no longer the same, for it has been flooded with the grace of God.
What is the difference between a student and a disciple? A student just wants to know what the teacher knows. A disciple wants to do what the Master does, believe what He believes, receive what He gives, walk as He walks, and one who reflects the image of his Master.
What does it take to be a disciple? Jesus amazingly said, unless you surrender all you can not be my disciple. That is a challenge that many walked away from Him because they believed they could not leave behind what they had gained in their life. Yet, He promised them a life more abundant then they ever had known. Their eyes were not able to see beyond what they had known.
